Halloween Bookmarks

These are the bookmarks that I made for Sydney's class. I colored a few to show as an example of what they can do with them. Most of the bookmarks have a picture for them to color and then I'm including bat and spider and foam critter stickers for them to adhere to the bookmarks.

Tea Thank You

I made a card for a friend who loaned me a few of her cute Halloween stamps to play with. I wrapped up some cookies and gave her this Thank You card using digital stamps from The Paper Shelter:

Andrea's Birthday!

My beautiful daughter is celebrating her birthday tomorrow. I made her this special Blue Bird of Happiness birthday card to bring her happiness and joy throughout the next year (and all years going forward!). My daughter is truly my best friend and I treasure her tremendously. Happy Birthday Andrea!
And this is the inside of the card:

A Class I Took

I took a card making class at my local scrapbook/craft store. It's fun to share a table with other card makers and listen to their stories and get tips. The cards were totally different from the style of cards that I make - and that was the point of taking the class! Here are two cards that I made during the class:

White on White Bird Cage

Alicia's Birthday, August 2011

This is a very different card for me. I wanted to make something more personal for my super wonderful daughter-in-law. To say that I'm nervous about whether she will like it or not - is a huge understatement. However, she is too kind to not smile and tell me she loves it! She's very special that way.
And the inside:

Nona's Retirement

My friend Nona is retiring after many, many years at Paine Field Airport. I created this card for her retirement BBQ celebration.

Phil is 65 - but I got there first!

I made a birthday card for my husband's best fishing bud (best all-around bud - and my good friend too!) Phil. The focal image and sentiment are stamps from Theresa Momber's Gone Fishing set from Gina K. Designs.
The inside features a stamp from another Theresa Momber stamp set called Follow Your Dreams. The inside sentiment is computer generated.

Easter 2011 for Syd & Chandler

We had a beautiful Saturday and Sunday after several days of rain. My hubby got to mow the lawn for just the second time so far this year. It was a wonderful hint of the Spring that we've been looking for.

I made these Easter cards for Syd & Chandler. Syd's was made with The Painter and the Bee, a Penny Black stamp that I bought from Simon Says Stamp.

For the inside, I used two stamps. The stamp on top is Peeking Bunny from High Hopes (purchased from Stamp & Create) and the Happy Easter is from PSX:

My card for Chandler uses a stamp from High Hopes, Bunny Masterpiece.

The inside again uses the stamp Peeking Bunny from High Hopes and the Some Bunny stamp is from Northwoods Rubber Stamps.

That's all for today. I hope you saw the sun in your neck of the woods today.

Fishy Friends Take Two

I have so much fun with these guys. The stamps are from Stamp'n Up! I bought them on E-Bay. Since I live by the ocean, I'm always looking for sea-related stamps and designer papers (and there are a zillion of them out there!).

In addition to the fun dp (bottom) and the Cuttlebugged ef (top cardstock bubbles), I added some Robin's Nest dew drops (the blue bubbles rising from each fishy friend) and lots of crystal Stickles on the cardstock bubbles.

Little Girls Story Time

I made two cards using this new Lili of the Valley (LOTV) stamp called Little Girls Story Time:

And here's my second one:

More Grey Hares!

I saw the idea for this card here, and thought it was so clever. When I found this stamp, Bunny Love, from High Hopes I thought it would be perfect. PLUS, I got to use some of my Polar White Flowersoft on their little fluffy bunny tails.

And this is the inside:

Framed Greeting

I got this stamp set on a "Free with three" purchase from Gina K Designs:

Dance as if no one is watching.

The silhouette stamps used on this card are from A Stamp In The Hand and the sentiment is from Make an Impression:

And here is the inside:

Spring Basket with Ribbon

Here are two more cards using my new Spring Basket stamp set from Gina K Designs. I thought it was interesting how the hue of the designer paper changed when I layered it over semi-light yellow on the first card and then a more golden yellow on the second card.

And here is the second one with some variations in color:

Wart's Up?

I know, I know - another frog card! You might as well get used to it as my collection grows. This funny guy is another High Hopes stamp.

And here's the inside:

Frog in Underpants

I love this stamp from High Hopes! It's called Frog in Boxers 2.:

Here's the inside:

Can you tell I love frogs?!!

This next card is another Gina K Designs stamp set called Little Critters by Theresa Momber. I think Theresa is the Queen of blending and I've been trying to follow her tutorial steps to achieve that look. This is the best one that I've done (based on this tutorial):

And this is the inside:

Spring Basket

This card was made with a Stamp Set by Melanie Muenchinger called Spring Basket from Gina K Designs:

I stamped the flowers on white cardstock and the basket on red cardstock with Color Box black pigment ink, then cut them out. The flowers were colored with Tombow markers. The dp background paper was cut into three rectangles and adhered to the cardbase. The circle and scalloped circle (Spellbinders Nesties) were then layered over the dp and the basket and flowers were mounted on the circle with dimensionals for depth. The label and sentiment (computer generated) oval (Spellbinders) were adhered using brads.

Just Swinging By to Say Hi!

This cute guy is a LOTV stamp, Boys Hanging Around.

I colored the stamped image with Tombow markers, cut it out and mounted it over the background paper with dimensional foam squares. The fence is a Picket Fence Border Die from Taylored Expressions. For the grass, I cut and layered light & dark green cardstock that was cut with a Martha Stewart edge punch. The little flowers in the grass are from an old Emagination punch. The branch die is a QuicKutz. The label is from Spellbinders and the sentiment is computer generated.

Chandler's and Sydney's Valentines 2011

I made this Valentine's Day card for my grandson Chandler.

With Gratitude

This is a very simple card. The background stamp is Woodgrain Pattern from Hero Arts. The sentiment is computer generated, cut out with a Classic Ovals Nestie, and edged with scattered straw & milled lavender Distress Ink (Ranger). The butterfly is a Cuttlebug Butterfly die, CB EF'd with Swiss Dots, mounted on black cardstock (I then cut around the butterfly to create a mat layer). 5 black pearls were attached to the butterfly's back. The leaves were cut using a Sizzix Sizzlits die. Three light purple Rhinestones (Basics) were attached to the upper right top.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Have a great day!
